Young Reckless Rebel

Seventeen-year-old Amaya Smith has everything she loves rooted in Atlanta — her grandparents, her best friend, her whole world. When her detective father uproots their lives to a small Texas town called Rebel, Amaya must navigate a new life she never asked for, and secrets she was never meant to uncover.

There was always love and laughter in the Smith residence. Often the smell of warm baked goods, southern soul food, and the sounds of jazz music filled the air.
